Technological change rarely advances smoothly. It advances in pulses. In revolutions. We at Mercedes-Benz‘ Finance Team are preparing the number one premium automaker for this revolution with a new holding structure (Project Future). In this setting we also drive the reinvention of the finance department with innovative IT-driven solutions. The department „Project Future & Steering Model“ is responsible for successfully preparing the Mercedes-Benz Cars (MBC) and Vans divisions for the final holding decision, which will be made on the shareholders‘ conference early 2019. Furthermore, we work on new and innovative ways to steer our business in an uncertain future, which is more complex than ever before. That‘s why our goal is to support decision making with sophisticated quantitative models in combination with an intuitive high-class user interface. To strengthen our team ‘Future Simulation Model’, we are hiring an UI/UX design intern who wants to become part of this revolution.
What you can expect
The FMT team operates in a Scrum setup, where you will be a full team member from day one.
Your tasks will include:
- Analysis of major trends in the mobility sector (e.g. autonomous, shared, electric)
- Derivation of financial impact of respective trends on MBC
- Conceptional development of strategic analyses
- Design an user interface (UI) for top management
What we expect
As the daily work in our team covers a wide range of topics from financial modelling up to product development, we are looking for someone with financial modelling and UI/UX development skills.
Qualifications:
- Advanced experience in Excel VBA
- Further experience in other programming languages is appreciated
- Strong conceptual as well as interpersonal skills
Education:
Major in computer science, business economics & information science, or other quantitative fields. However, we are open to all subjects.
